Wet Cooler Supervisor

About the Job
Primary Purpose:
Oversees Wet Cooler operations to ensure product temperatures, rotation, and inventory flow meet all quality, efficiency, and food‑safety standards. Aligns people, processes, and resources to support safe, accurate, and timely movement of product throughout the department. This is a Night Shift leadership role.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensures orders are fulfilled accurately, and the department is staffed appropriately each shift.
  • Follows and enforces all SOPs and Good Production Practices (GPPs) within the Wet Cooler.
  • Monitors product quality, temperature compliance, and packaging specifications; implements corrective actions when deviations occur.
  • Maintains compliance with food‑safety regulations, including identifying and correcting sanitation or pre‑op issues.
  • Drives performance toward key operational metrics such as BMPH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A‑Grade %.
  • Ensures timely completion of HR and Safety requirements, including Kronos and Oracle HCM time‑off approvals, safety training, and certification updates.
  • Partners with maintenance, QA, and production teams to support smooth product flow and resolve operational issues.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in lieu of a degree; poultry or food‑manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and experience applying them in a production environment.
  • Understanding of USDA regulations, sanitation requirements, and pre‑operations guidelines.
