Primary Purpose:
The Trim and Packout Supervisor ensures the effective execution of all department operations on the night shift. This role is responsible for aligning people, processes, and resources to meet established goals for product quality, operational efficiency, staffing, and safety. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining compliance with food safety standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting a high‑performing team environment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Daily Operations & Staffing:
    Ensure production orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Maintain proper staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed to support workflow and meet production demands.

  • Quality, Food Safety & Compliance:  
    Uphold all product quality, packaging, and labeling specifications. Identify defects, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP requirements, and USDA guidelines, including sanitation and pre‑operational procedures.

  • Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement:  
    Monitor and drive key departmental metrics such as BPMH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A‑Grade %. Partner with leadership to develop and execute improvement plans that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen overall performance.

  • People Leadership & HR Responsibilities:  
    Support a positive, safe, and compliant work environment. Follow all HR and Safety policies, including timely completion of Kronos and Oracle HCM tasks, attendance management, coaching, and disciplinary processes. Ensure all required safety and certification training is completed on schedule.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience; experience in poultry or food manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food safety programs, and USDA regulations related to sanitation and pre‑operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Solid communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
