Materials Clerk – Jockey Driver (Night Shift)

Primary Purpose:
The Materials Clerk – Jockey Driver supports warehouse and yard operations by performing receiving, issuing, transferring, and counting activities for assigned areas such as Parts, Packaging, Supplies, and the Garage. This role requires accurate Oracle Cloud entries, hands‑on material handling, and safe operation of jockey trucks to move trailers as needed. The position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring materials are available to support plant operations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Material Handling & Warehouse Transactions
Receive, unload, issue, and transfer materials using a forklift and pallet jack. Enter all warehouse transfers and transactions into Oracle Cloud accurately and on time. - Jockey Driving & Yard Movement
Safely operate a jockey truck to move full and empty trailers throughout the yard. Support daily trailer inventories and ensure trailers are positioned correctly to meet operational needs. - Inventory Counts & Accuracy
Perform routine cycle counts and inventory audits. Monitor minimum/maximum inventory levels and replenish materials to support continuous plant operations. - Quality & Compliance
Verify incoming deliveries by comparing physical quantities to packing slips. Conduct quality checks on stored inventory and report any materials that do not meet company standards. - Operational Support
Assist with packing goods for sale and support routine or emergency maintenance tasks as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Entry‑level position; prior warehouse or yard‑jockey experience strongly preferred.
- Valid forklift license and pallet jack certification.
- Jockey‑driving experience required.
- Training in Oracle modules or the ability to learn Oracle Cloud quickly.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 6:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
- Rotating weekends and Saturdays when the plant is processing.
