Night Shift Cone Debone Supervisor
Shift: Night Shift (Start time approx. 4:00 PM; 10–12 hour shifts as needed)

Primary Purpose:
Leads and supports the successful execution of Cone Debone department operations on the night shift. Ensures people, processes, and resources are aligned to meet established goals for safety, quality, yield, efficiency, and production flow. Maintains a consistent focus on food safety, employee engagement, and operational excellence in a fast‑paced poultry processing environment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
  • Ensures daily production orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintains proper staffing levels and adjusts assignments to meet production demands.
  • Monitors line performance, product flow, and equipment functionality to prevent downtime and maintain throughput.
  • Ensures adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices (GPPs).

Quality & Food Safety:
  • Ensures all product meets quality, trim, and packaging specifications.
  • Identifies defects or process deviations and implements corrective actions promptly.
  • Upholds all food safety requirements, including HACCP, GMPs, and USDA regulatory standards.
  • Supports pre‑operational and operational sanitation expectations and addresses non‑compliance immediately.

Performance & Metrics:
  • Drives department performance to meet or exceed key metrics:
    • BPMH
    • Cost/lb.
    • PPMH
    • A‑Grade %
  • Analyzes trends and partners with leadership to implement improvements.

People Management:
  • Provides clear direction, coaching, and accountability to team members.
  • Promotes a safe working environment and enforces all safety policies.
  • Completes Kronos and Oracle HCM timekeeping, attendance, and time‑off approvals accurately and on time.
  • Ensures all employees complete required safety, food safety, and job‑specific training.

Work Environment Expectations:
  • Must be able to work in cold, wet production areas and transition to warm/hot environments as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and work extended shifts (10–12 hours) based on production needs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume poultry processing environment.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated supervisory experience in lieu of degree; poultry processing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with USDA regulations, sanitation requirements, and pre‑operations guidelines.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision‑making skills.
